[01] Stocks end 0.38% higher
Stocks ended higher at the Athens Stock Exchange despite a decline in
turnover on Wednesday. The composite index of the market rose 0.38 pct
to end at 1,512.42 points, with turnover shrinking to 77.498 million
euros.
The Big Cap index rose 0.43 pct, the Mid Cap index ended 0.83 pct down
and the Small Cap index fell 1.26 pct. The Commerce (3.68 pct) and
Utilities (3.66 pct) scored the biggest percentage gains of the day,
while Insurance (3.01 pct) and Technology (2.82 pct) suffered losses.
Broadly, decliners led advancers by 112 to 51 with another 53 issues
unchanged.
Crown Hellas Can (20 pct), Atlantic (20 pct) and Mohlos (9.09 pct) were
top gainers, while Marak (16.67 pct), FG Europe (10 pct) and Creta Farm
(9.68 pct) were top losers.
