  • [01] Annual festival based on tasty eggplant recipes of Leonidio area

The 13th annual festival celebrating the tasty eggplant (aubergine) variety in coastal Arcadia prefecture, in southern Greece's Peloponnese province, was organised over the weekend by the Leonidio municipality under the auspices of the agriculture development ministry, an event now part of the recently unveiled "Feasts of Greek Soil" initiative by the ministry. The festival takes the medieval name of the region near Leonidio, namely, the "Tsakonian Eggplant Festival". ANA-MPA / D. PANAGOS.
