[01] Netanyahu arrives in Athens
(ANA-MPA) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in
Athens early Monday afternoon to begin a two-day official visit.
He was greeted at the Athens Airport by the deputy tourism and culture
minister before heading to a downtown Athens hotel ahead of his
scheduled meeting with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou later in
the afternoon.
Netanyahu is scheduled to tour the Acropolis in the evening before
attending a reception in his honour hosted by Papandreou.
On Tuesday, the Israeli PM will meet with main opposition New Democracy
(ND) leader Antonis Samaras. Later he will depart for the Saronic Gulf
isle of Poros, southeast of Athens, accompanied by Papandreou.
