[01] Stocks end 1.85 pc lower
Greek stocks ended significantly lower in the Athens Stock Exchange on
Friday. The composite index of the market fell 1.85 pct to end at
1,713.01 points, with turnover at 89.060 million euros. The Big Cap
index dropped 2.25 pct, the Mid Cap index eased 0.91 pct and the Small
Cap index ended 1.55 pct down. Banks (-3.09 pct) and Telecoms (-2.52
pct) suffered the heaviest percentage losses of the day, while
Insurance (+2.80 pct) and Chemicals (+0.51 pct) scored gains. Broadly,
decliners led advancers by 101 to 51 with another 53 issues unchanged.
