[01] Health problem causes cancellation of Erdogan visit to Athens for
museum's opening
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has cancelled his visit to
Greece on Saturday to attend the high-profile inauguration ceremony for
the New Acropolis Museum in central Athens, citing health reasons.
Erdogan spoke with his Greek counterpart Costas Karamanlis early
Saturday afternoon to inform him that he will not be able to attend the
ceremony later in the evening, as previously planned.
However, the veteran Turkish premier expressed his volition to tour the
new museum with Karamanlis as soon as possible, according to reports.
