[01] European Union election on SundayElection precincts for European Parliament elections will open at 7 a.m. on Sunday and will close at 7 p.m. All Greek citizens over the age of 18 have the right to vote. Registered voters total 9,866,913 (4,727,782 men and 5,053,866 women), and will elect 22 MEPs.Greek citizens living or travelling in other EU members may vote in the country they are residing. EU member-states' citizens currently residing in Greece will also be able to vote in Greece if they have submitted a relevant application. The celebration was held at the D.C. museum and aims to promote the museum and its treasures, including the repatriation of the Parthenon Marbles from the British Museum. Former US presidential candidate and Mass. governor Michael Dukakis and former Clinton adviser George Stephanopoulos are the honorary presidents of the organisation.
