[01] Gov't: No issue of natgas shortageNew Development Minister Costis Hatzidakis on Sunday reiterated that the government is confident of the country's natgas reserves and supply. Hatzidakis, speaking to a state-run TV network, also said that preparation of a tender for construction of a new natural gas condensation unit on the islet of Revythoussa will ensure even more supplies and energy security.Hatzidakis said he will take part on Monday in an off-the agenda EU energy ministers' summit, expected to focus on the issue of energy security, especially in the wake of the recent natural gas supply crisis. "We are closely monitoring the issue. A vessel carrying liquefied natural gas , which arrived on Sunday, will cover our needs until the beginning of next week. Nevertheless, the crisis indicates the need not to depend to just one source and one supplier. Anyway, this is our national energy mode," he added.
