[01] Post Office Savings Bank renamedThe Post Office Savings Bank (TT) will be renamed Hellenic Postbank-Post Office Savings Bank and with its new identity it will aim at becoming a strong bank and widening its market share, taking advantage of its client base, according to what the Post Office Savings Bank's President Angelos Filippidis said at a press conference on Wednesday.Filippidis announced that the Savings Bank will further utilise its strategic cooperation with the Greek Post Office Service (ELTA), which has been extended to 2021, opening at least 200 to 300 branches inside the ELTA during 2008. Responding to a question, Filippidis said that the Savings Bank will continue to be "cheap with loans" and give the highest interest rate that it possibly can for deposits, but stressed that it will not adopt the practice of banks that make invoice offers that are only valid for a limited period of time.
