    Equity prices were declining on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 2.31 percent, standing at 1,964.12 points at 12:45 p.m., and turnover at 72.5 million euros.

    Individual sector indices were moving mostly downward, with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 5.16 percent; Travel & Recreation, up 2.91 percent and Telecommunications, up 1.93 percent.

    The heaviest losses were in Food & Beverage, down 4.39 percent; Banks, down 3.42 percent; Oil & Gas, down 3.20 percent; and Construction, down 1.82 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 2.66 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 1.98 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.12 percent.

    Of the stocks moved, 50 were up, 130 were down, and 39 were unchanged.
