[01] Wildfires across PeloponneseFour wildfires were in progress in the Peloponnese, southern Greece, early Friday afternoon. A fire that erupted on Thursday in Agionari site in Corinth perfecture passed to Argolida perfecture and has already burned several hectares of forestland.Another fire burst out early Friday near Zevgolatio, Corinth. A third wildfire that erupted at a forest in Nedusa, Kalamata perfecture on the Taygettus mountain is in progress and a large firefighting operation has commenced at the scene. Finally, another wildfire broke out in a rural area in Vrodama, Laconia perfecture. Wildfires that erupted at Kopanaki and Arsinoi, Messinia perfecture, are under control. Caption: ANA-MPA file photo [02] 'El Greco' at Toronto FestivalThe film 'El Greco', directed by Greek filmmaker Yannis Smaragdis, was selected to participate in the official programme of Toronto International Film Festival, it was announced on Friday.During the festival, the production company behind the movie will present an exhibition entitled "El Greco from film set to screen" at Bata museum of Toronto between Sept. 4-14. The exhibition will include replicas of Dominikos Theotokopoulos' paintings and costumes used in the film, which were created by Spanish designer Lala Huete, as well as other objects from the film's sets.
