    The film "Red Awn" by Chinese director Shangjun Cai won the Golden Alexander award in the international section of the Thessaloniki Film Festival which ended on Sunday. The best film award is accompanied with a prize of 37,000 euros.

    The Silver Alexander award (22,000 euros) was awarded to the film "PVC-1" by 29-year-old Spyros Stathopoulos who lives with his family in Colombia.

    The director's award was won by Estonian Veiko Ounpuu for his film "Autumn ball".

    The scenario award was received by Greeks Thanos Anastasopoulos and Vassilis Raisis for the scenario of the film which was directed by the former under the title ?Correction?.

    The best actress award went to Greek Anna Lalasidou for her interpretation in the German production of the Greek director Athanassios Karanikolas entitled "Elli Makra - 42277 Wuppertal".

    The best actor award went to Colombian Alberto Sornoza for his interpretation in the film "PVC-1".
