[01] Leftist leader tours Thisseio districtCoalition of the Left (Synaspismos) leader Alekos Alavanos toured the Thisseio district near Acropolis on Sunday and proposed separate TV debates with the three other Parliament-represented party leaders, including the premier.Alavanos also back a proposal by main opposition PASOK for a television debate amongst all the party leaders, although he said such a debate will be "dull" because both major parties have a "parallel course". Consequently, Alavanos, who heads up the radical left coalition (Syriza) formation in the coming election, said he also called for a television debate that could be broadcast even by one channel alone. Lastly, Alavanos predicted that no party will gain a majority of seats in the Sept. 16 elections, adding that the key to developments will be young generation voters.
