[01] Subzero temps around Greece
The Nevrokopi township, in the Drama prefecture of eastern Macedonia,
again recorded arctic-like conditions (-21C) overnight, as particularly
frigid and gusty northerly winds left cloudless skies but frigid
temperatures around the east Mediterranean country.
Frost was reported throughout most of northern and central Greece, with
numerous streams and lake froze over as well. Authorities, meanwhile,
again issued snow chain and snow tire advisories for most provincial
and mountainous roadways.
