"Journalists at the Athens News Agency (ANA) participate in the strike
called by all the unions of press and mass media employees nationwide,
from 6:00 on Thursday, November 24 until 6:00 on Friday, November 25,
in order to demand full and steady employment, decent wages and work
conditions, insurance and collective agreements for all. Informing the
public is the obligation of journalists and the right of citizens," an
announcement by the Athens journalists union ESHEA said on Wednesday.
The ANA informs its subscribers that, due to the strike called unions
for all press and mass media, no ANA services will operate between 6:00
in the morning on Thursday and 6:00 in the morning on Friday this week.
