Equities were slightly rising at the opening of the trading session
Tuesday on the Athens Stock Exchange, with the general share price
index slightly up 0.5 per cent at 11:15 a.m., standing at 2,198.07
points, and turnover at 30.7 million euro.
Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest
gains in Retail Sales, up 0.99 per cent, and Insurances, up 0.75 per
cent. The biggest losses are in Basic Metals, down 0.81 per cent and
Information Technologies, down 0.47 per cent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was
slightly down 0.02 per cent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.09 per
cent, and the FTSE/ASE SmallCap 80 index was up 0.48 per cent.
Of the stocks moved, 81 were up, 128 were down, and 70 were unchanged.
