Sunny weather is forecast in all parts of the country on Wednesday,
with sporadic showers in central and northern Greece in the afternoon.
Winds northerly, light to strong, turning very strong in the southern
Aegean. Temperatures in the north will range from 18C to 37C; in
western Greece from 20C to 39C; and in the Aegean islands from 23C to
35C. Temperatures in Athens between 26C and 37C; and in Thessaloniki
from 23C to 35C.

A forest-fire broke out in the Attica region between Anavissos and
Keratea, east of Athens, according to Fire Department Chief Panagiotis
Fourlas, adding that the extinguishing of the fire will not be easy,
due to the fact that it broke out at night.
Meanwhile, the high winds in the region are making the work of the
fire-fighters all the more difficult. At press time, no homes or lives
were in danger.
