The weather will be sunny in most parts of the country on Thursday, with scattered cloud in the west and north that may turn to showers mainly in the northwest. Visibility will be limited early in the morning. Winds northerly, light to strong, turning very strong from evening in parts of the southeastern Aegean. In the north, temperatures will range from 15C to 31C; on the rest of the mainland from 16C to 33C; and on the islands from 13C to 29C. Light cloud over Athens, with temperatures between 20C and 33C. Same in Thessaloniki with temperatures from 18C to 31C.

[03] Panathinaikos beats Real Mallorca 2-0 in Champions League

Panathinaikos beat Real Mallorca of Spain 2-0 in a first stage Group C Champions League soccer match in Athens on Wednesday night.

Goran Vlaovic put Panathinaikos 1-0 ahead in the 25th minute and three minutes later Michalis Konstantinou made it 2-0.

It is the second successive win for Panathinaikos in the Champions League, having also beaten Schalke 04 of Germany 2-0 away.
