The fiscal discipline exercised by the government and the developments in Greece�s economy will allow the government to focus on social policies, without increasing spending, National economy minister Yiannos Papantoniou said, in an interview published in Sunday�s ?To Vima? newspaper.

Greek Defence Minister Akis Tsohatzopoulos and his Romanian counterpart Ion Iliescu met on Saturday in Thessaloniki and discussed Balkan cooperation issues and bilateral relations.

The two men met, late on Saturday night at the sidelines of the international conference organised by Institute of Strategic and Development Studies Andreas Papandreou, taking place in Thessaloniki.
