[01] Commission approves joint venture in paper sector
The European Commission has approved a joint venture between Neusiedler AG,
Austria, and American Israeli Paper Mills Ltd, Israel, with operations
centred in Israel and the Middle East in the fine and special paper sector.
The joint venture, based in Israel, will be engaged in producing and
marketing fine and special papers, principally in Israel and the Middle
East. The proposed venture will not result in any significant increase of
market share in uncoated wood-free fine paper within the European Economic
Area and was therefore approved.
