    [01] Doctor says Ecevit/s general health "very good"

    According to Dr. Arif Abaci, an internal diseases expert at Cankaya Hospital, Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit/s general health is "very good".

    In a statement to reporters outside Cankaya Hospital, Dr. Abaci said that periodic checks reveal that the prime minister has no serious diseases. He added: "The recent visit to India was tiring both because of the weather and the intensive talks. Following this visit, the prime minister contracted a slight influenza. The necessary treatment has begun. His general health is very good. The lab results, the X-rays are completely normal."

    "Given this slight influenza, we advised him to continue with his work from home, for a couple of days and to keep away from tiring meetings. He said that he will try to act in line with our advice".

    Replying to a reporter/s question, Dr. Abaci said that the prime minister/s temperature which was 38.5 has now dropped, and that his blood pressure stands at 14/8.

    [02] Water conference in occupied Famagusta

    According to KIBRIS (11.4.00) an international water conference on "The Middle East, the water problem and the technology of irrigable agriculture" will be held between 12-14 of April at the Eastern Mediterranean University (`DAU) in the occupied area of Famagusta.

    The conference is organized through the cooperation of the so-called Agricultural and Forestry Ministry, the Economic School of EMU and the International Centre of Development and Research of Canada (IDRC).

    Academics from the USA, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Canada, Israel, Iran, Jordan and the "TRNC" will attend the conference.

    During the last day of the conference there will be workshops in the areas of Morphou and Lefka.

    [03] Pseudostate at Tourism Fairs

    KIBRIS (11.4.00) reports that the pseudostate was represented at the International Tourism Fair in Kiev, Ukraine.

    According to information given by the so-called under-secretary of State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Kanol, "TRNC" will also attend the Tourism Fair in the United Arab Emirates, between 2-5 May.
