[01] Denktash leaves for Ankara to attend republic anniversary
According to illegal Bayrak Radio (11.30 hours, 28/10/98), Turkish Cypriot
Leader Rauf Denktash left for Ankara yesterday as the guest of Turkish
President Suleyman Demirel to attend the ceremonies marking the 75th
anniversary of the Turkish Republic. In a statement at occupied Tymbou
airport, Denktash stressed that ``the invitation extended to me to
represent the Turkish Cypriot people at the 75th anniversary celebrations
is a great honor''.
[02] Yilmaz to pay illegal visit to pseudostate on 3 November
According to Anatolia Agency (14.58 hours, 28/10/98), has been announced
that Turkish Prime Minister Mesut Yilmaz will pay an ``official visit'' to
the occupied area.
It has been learned that Yilmaz will pay a one-day illegal visit on 3
November. He will meet with pseudostate ``officials'' and attend a ceremony
marking the start of the 1998-1999 academic year at the ``Eastern
Mediterranean University''
