[01] UN SG ready to facilitate Cyprus talks process, President says

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has said that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed during a telephone conversation they had his readiness to take any steps in order to facilitate the process of the Cyprus reunification talks.

It remains therefore to see the good will of the other side, Anastasiades said.

In statements on the sidelines of a memmorial inauguration in Pissouri, on Sunday and replying to a question about the telephone conversation he had with Ban the previous evening, President Anastasiades said the discussion was "about the progress achieved so far but also the prospect ahead in the talks which will take place somewhere in Switzerland and which of course have to to with one of the most important issues, that of territory, related absolutely to the issue of property.
