  • [01] Ruling DISY party concludes its electoral procedures

    The ruling Democratic Rally Party (DISY) concluded Saturday the electoral procedures for its new leadership. Averof Neofytou, former Deputy President, has already been elected unopposed as new President of the Party, while Lefteris Christoforou, former Vice President, was also elected unopposed as Deputy President of DISY.

    An electoral assembly took place Saturday, for the election of the three Vice-Presidents. More than 17,000 members and supporters of the party in Cyprus, Greece and the UK, elected Giorgos Georgiou (with 6113 votes), Stella Kyriakidou (5782 votes) and Soteris Sampson (4787) for the three posts among 14 candidates.

    On the 11th of May the 15th DISY Congress will take place to elect the 20 members of the Political Bureau and the Secretary - General of the Women's Association (GODISY).
