[01] Cyprus Stock Exchange to stay closed Tuesday and Wednesday
Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday,
CSE announced here, on Tuesday morning.
According to the press release, the board of directors convened early in
the morning and decided to suspend trading in the Cyprus Stock Exchange
"in order to ensure the proper functioning of the Stock Exchange market
and to protect investors".
The decision comes as a result of a government decision on Monday to
declare Tuesday and Wednesday as bank holidays, which means that there
can be no clearing and settling of stock transactions at the CSE
