[01] Labor Minister attends EPSCO Council
The posting of workers directive, youth employment, social and economic
policy coordination, the European alliance for apprenticeship, the
evaluation of the 2013 European Semester and the social dimension of
Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), were on the agenda of the EPSCO
Council, which took place in Luxemburg.
Cypriot Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Zeta Emilianides in her
intervention on the posting of workers from one member state to another
noted that the conditions which should apply to each employee must be
clear so that their rights are safeguarded.
Regarding the 2013 European Semester, the Minister said that it is
important for member states to identify all social problems that derive
from unemployment and try to take steps for social inclusion.
