[01] DAVIS CUP STARTS
A singles match between Cypriot Raresh Cuzdriorean and Egypt`s Karim
Maamoun on Friday, opens the tie between Cyprus and Egypt for Davis
Cup`s Group II, hosted by Cyprus.
The tie, to take place in Spyros Kyprianou stadium in Limassol,
includes five matches. The winner team must secure three victories.
The first match between Cuzdriorean and Maamoun starts at 16:00
followed by the second singles match between Cypriot champion and 33rd
in ATP rankings, Marcos Baghdatis and Egypt`s Sherif Sabry.
The tie will continue on Saturday with the double`s match between
Marcos Baghdatis and Photos Kallias and Egypt`s Karim Maamoun and
Sherif Sabry.
On Sunday, Baghdatis will face Maamoun and Cuzdriorean will take up
Sabry.
