    Cyprus Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou departs on Thursday for Spain in order to participate in the Informal Meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers (Gymnich).

    According to an official announcement, the Meeting will be held on 5-6 March at Palacio de Viana in Cordoba.

    The role of the European Union to the peace process in the Middle East, the situation in the Western Balkans, and especially in Bosnia Herzegovina, as well as the EU policy towards the emerging powers in the international political scene, will be the main issues to be discussed in the meeting.

    In addition, the Foreign Ministers will also discuss issues concern the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty, and the new institutions of the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy such as the European External Action Service.
