    Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Jul 25 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    On Friday (July 26) and Saturday (July 27), the weather will be fine and mainly clear. Winds will be moderate sea breezes and the state of sea slight but locally moderate in the afternoon.

    Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius inland, 33 degrees over south coastal areas and 31 degrees over west coastal areas. Minimum temperatures will be around 24 degrees Celsius inland and over coastal areas.

    On Sunday (July 28) and Monday (July 29), no significant change.

    Kasoulides says time may not be right for peace plan

    Nicosia, Jul 25 (CNA) -- The United Nations, given developments in Turkey, should think twice on whether to submit a blueprint for the solution of the Cyprus question if the possibilities for its discussion are narrow, Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides said today.

    Cyprus to host Israeli team's Champions League match

    Nicosia, Jul 25 (CNA) -- The Cypriot government granted today permission to an Israeli team to hold a football match in Nicosia for the Champions League's second qualifying round due to the unsettled situation in the Middle East.

    Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou announced that the match, for which the permission was granted, will take place July 31, noting that the request for Cyprus to host all European matches in which Israeli teams will be playing will be further examined before reaching a decision.
