    Nicosia, Jan 23 (CNA) - The United States are looking forward to the future of the UN-led talks on the Cyprus problem and together with the international community are trying to get the process back on track, US Ambassador Donald Bandler said here today.

    Director of the Southeastern European Affairs Bureau at the US State Department Ann Korky said, after meeting with Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides, that "we in Washington will continue to work for and support an equitable settlement". CNA/RG/GP/2001

    Nicosia, Jan 23 (CNA) - Cyprus Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou said today that the Director of the Southeastern European Affairs Bureau at the US State Department Ann Korky reassured President Glafcos Clerides today that the new US administration would continue its efforts to solve the Cyprus problem.

    Commenting on the meeting President Clerides had today with Korky, in the presence of US Ambassador to Cyprus Donald Bandler, Papapetrou said the State Department official "reassured the President of the Republic that the new US administration would continue tireless efforts to solve the Cyprus problem".
