1025:CYPPRESS:01[01] Cyprus - Tourism - StatisticsNicosia, Nov 18 (CNA) - The number of arrivals in Cyprus covering all categories of travellers reached 413.915 recording an increase of 10% for September 2000 compared to the corresponding month last year, while for the period January- September 2000 arrivals of travellers reached 2.814.622 compared to 2.501.482 in the corresponding period of 1999 recording an increase of 12,5%.According to a report issued by the Statistical Service, arrivals of tourists reached 329.964 in September 2000 compared to 309.498 in the corresponding month last year, recording an increase of 6,6%. For the period January-September 2000 arrivals of tourists reached 2.158.385 compared to 1.961.179 in the corresponding period of 1999, recording an increase of 10,1%.
