SARAJEVO - The Orthodox church marked the Great and Holy Friday the day when suffered the God's Son Jesus Christ, who in human form have lived 33 years. According to evangelists, Christ finished his earthly life on today's day, "in the nineth hour after sunset", asking forgivenes from his Father for those who executed him, by words:"Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing". In some our regions, the Easter eggs are being painted on Great Friday, because on the day of Christ's suffering all other jobs are stopped, and nobody is working anything. There are, however regions when Easter eggs are being painted on the Great Thursday or the Great Saturday.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic and premier Milorad Dodik will meet in Belgrade with the president of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ Slobodan Milosevixc - announced in Banja Luka the vice- president of Serbian People's Union /SNS/ Ostoja Knezevic. At the press conference of SNS Knezevic condemned the killing of two Serbs in Drvar, warning that it is the "atrocious crime, which aim is destabilisation of the situation in whole B&H, which must be prevented immediately by the international community". He assessed that such deterrence of Serbs will have negative consequences and reminded the international community that it is now responsible for the security of two thousands Serbs who returned into Drvar.

PALE - The seat of the Public Security /CJB/ Serbian Sarajevo will be relocated from Lukavica to Pale - was announced by the minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Milovan Stankovic on the meeting, which was held on April 16, with the leadership of CJB Serbian Sarajevo.

DOBOJ - The rabbi of all Jews in RS Josip Atijas and president of the Association of Serbian- Jewish friendship Mordehaj Atijas congratulated to the president of Republika Srpska Biljana Plavsic, the National Assembly Dragan Kalinic, premier Milorad Dodik and minister of Religions Jovo Turanjanin the coming Easter holidays. "In the name of all members of Jewish community and Association of Serbian-Jewish friendship to the top state officials of RS we are sending the most sincere congratulations for their personal happiness and welfare of brotherly Serbian people", is stated in the congratulation forwarded to SRNA.

BANJA LUKA - UNHCR condemns the yesterday's crime in Drvar, where were killed Serbs Vojin and Lejla Trninic and burned their family house where they returned after two years exile - stated at the press conference the spokeswoman of the Banja Luka's office Vendy Rapaport. She announced that UNHCR will continue to support the process of return of refugees, stressing that international community at the highest level is undertaking all actions for stabilisation of the situation in Drvar. Mrs. Rapaport stressed that the UN High Commissioner for refugees Sadako Ogata, who temporarily is in Sarajevo, was informed about the situation in Drvar and that she expressed the great discontentment with committed crime.

DOBOJ - The minister for issues of war veterans and victims of the war of RS Tihomir Gligorevic stated in Doboj that "all liberation wars must be marked, that Serbian people lead through its history till today". On the occasion of the day of liberation of Doboj - April 17 - the victory over fascism, in the Park of the national heroes in this city was lied the wreath on the Monument of veterans of People's liberation war /NOR/ from 1941- 1945.

BUDAPEST - The vice-president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Ostoja Kremenovic stated in Budapest that the Serbian Republic is opening itself fully towards the world and wishes in short term to implement economic reforms and stabilise political situation. Kremenovic stated for "Magyar Hirlapu" that the situation in RS is still difficult, that only ten percent of factories works and that majority of people is unemployed, and those who are working earn in average only 80 DEM monthly. "The exit from this situation is only in full transition on market economy and in cooperation with other states, including Hungary", said the vice-president of RS Government.

SARAJEVO - The High representative of the international community Carlos Westendorp sacked the mayor of Drvar the Croat Drago Tokmacic, reacting on the atrocious killing of Serbian married couple in this city - reports DPA. Simultaneously the special UN envoy for human rights Elizabeth Rehn demanded the replacement of the police chiefs in Drvar and surroundings. SFOR and IPTF increased their presence in this city which is under control of Bosnian Croats in order to prevent further attacks on Serbian refugees.

SARAJEVO - The special UN envoy for B&H Elizabeth Rehn called the Moslem- Croatian authorities to make for 48 hours a list of 15 Serbian policemen which will be sent to Drvar - reports AFP. In the letter sent to president and vice-president of Federation B&H Ejup Ganic and Vladimir Soljic Mrs. Rehn is warning that, if they fail to do that, "High Representative of international community will nominate temporarily one policeman who will control the police in this city". "We shall be decisive regarding conducting these tasks" - confirmed Rehn to journalists in federal part of Sarajevo.

BELGRADE - The democratic centre /DC/, because of the atrocious killing of Serbian couple, returnees to Drvar - most vigorously requires from the authorities in Federation B&H, Republic of Croatia, international forces and organisations in B&H the urgent investigation and punishing the perpetrators of this crime. "The systematic arson, threats and attacks, as well as discouraging potential returnees, testifies about the tough resistance of the perpetrators of ethnical clearing, circumvention of Dayton agreement and respecting human rights" - is said in the announcement of DC.

VIENNA - The secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria Albert Rohan will departure next week in the more days visit to Yugoslavia - is announced in Vienna. As announced, Rohan will meet in Belgrade his counterpart Zivadin Jovanovic, and after that he will go to Pristina, where he will talk with the president of Democratic Union of Kosovo Ibrahim Rugova and other representatives of Albanian majority.

BELGRADE - The commission for implementation of republican referendum determined the number of 7,243,750 citizens who will on April 23 in Serbia come out on 9,835 polling stations to say whether they accept the participation of foreign representatives in solving problem in Kosovo - said the secretary of the Commission Nebojsa Rodic. At the press conference in Belgrade he stated that the ballots and accompanied documents were printed and forwarded to municipal commissions in whole Serbia and that soon would be taken over by the electoral boards.

BELGRADE - The world's Serbian community called all Serbs in Canada and Germany to come out on mass protests in Ottawa and Bonn on Saturday, April 25, with the slogan "We will not give Kosovo - Kosovo is Serbian Jerusalem". In the announcement of the Serbian community from Montreal is stressed that the protests, which would be held in front of the Canadian Parliament and U. S. Embassy in Ottawa, are organised in order to enable Canadian politicians, media and citizens to hear the truth about Kosovo and constant ethnical cleansing of Serbs from these regions.
