The Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini told the conference that "elections are one of the main roads to peace in Bosnia and that they should be held in Septem ber". World media are pointing out that Srpska's delegation, headed by Premier Gojko Klickovic and Foreign Minister Aleksa Buha, for the first time since the Dayton agreement was signed, is independently represented at the meeting. FLORENCE - The high representative of the international community for the former B-H Carl Bildt stated in Florence that any delay of the upcoming elections would increase the risk of country's partition in two ethnic states. He said that "elections are central point for the establishing of common institutions aimed at binding Serbs, Muslims and Croats into one state". FLORENCE - An unidentified U.S. official stated in Florence that dispute that blocked the signing of an arms control pact in Srpska, the Croat/Muslim Federation , Yugoslavia and Croatia is likely to be solved this week. He said that intense talks are being held between international mediators and the five parties from the former Yugoslavia. BELGRADE - Despite efforts of the international community there is no chance of creating a unitary Bosnia, stated the RS Premier Gojko Klickovic. In an interview given weekly Javnost, Klickovic said that the international community "by senseless pressures on the Serb side" is striking already shaky union. THE HAGUE - The Prosecutor of the International War Crimes Tribunal in the former Yugoslavia asked that charges against Goran Lajic be dropped because of lack of evidence. BANJALUKA - The IPTF spokesman, Alain Roberts, stated in Banjaluka that the IPTF has firm evidence that four captured Serbs from Glamoc were being held in a prison in Livno from June 1 to June 10. Roberts told a news conference that the families of Djoko Vuleta, Nedeljko Jandric, Krstan Cegar and Mirko Cvorkic informed the IPTF about their disappearing on June 1st. DOBOJ - The Public Security Centre (CJB) in Doboj today protested the continuation of behaviour which is not in the spirits of the Dayton agreement and the multinational forces authorisations, with the IFOR NordicPolish Brigade commander. "Aside of the Doboj CJB cooperativeness and the full security of IFOR units, they continue to control civilians, vehicles and the whole traffic, and outside the 'European standards' they set up check points and control sites, says the communique. BELGRADE - The Nemanja Serb Association in Germany sent an appeal to the Hague tribunal asking that charges against the president of Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadzic, and general Ratko Mladic be annulled. BANJALUKA - The Croatian Defence Council (HVO) arrested yesterday two Serb civilians Rade Bajic and Luka Basic near Drvar, said eyewitness Vlado Kremic. According to him, the two were visiting their homes in the villages of Mokronoge and Na gradje. BONN - The Muslim Premier Hasan Muratovic stated for Die Zeit that "he will accept 100,000 Muslim refugees who are now in Germany in an exchange for two billion DM".
