Today at Cotroceni Palace, Romanian President Emil Constantinescu is to
meet leaders in the governing coalition and opposition MPs for
consultations on political, economic and social issues. According to a
communique of Romanian Presidency, the press will be allowed only a few
minutes, but participants will make declarations after the meeting. RADOR,

[02] A tribute to Corneliu Coposu
The former leader of the Christian-Democratic National Peasant Party (PNT-
CD) Corneliu Coposu has died two year ago. Religious services were
organised yesterday at Domnita Balasa Church in Bucharest and Romanian top
politicians and personalities have wished to pay their tribute to the
memory of the man once known as "the master of Romanian politics".
Narticipants included PNT-CD leader Ion Diaconescu, Prime Minister Victor
Ciorbea, Finance Minister Mircea Ciumara, Reform Minister Ulm Spineanu and
other Romanian officials. RADOR, November 10
[03] Second day of the PRM Congress
The second Greater Romania Party (PRM) Congress ended its second and last
day of debates yesterday at the Parliament Palace. Participants discussed
issues concerning amendments to the statute of the party and other
documents presented the previous day. The single candidate to the
presidency of the party, Corneliu Vadim Tudor, was reelected as PRM leader
for another four-year term. Over 1,000 PRM members around the country
participated in the meeting which, according to press reports, began with
the famous choir of Verdi's "Nabucco" and ended with Tina Turner's hit "The
Best". Participants included the French National Front leader Jean-Marie Le
Pen who addressed the congress and, accompanied by his Romanian host, paid
his tribute to the French Soldier Memorial in Cismigiu Gardens and to the
Unknown Soldier Memorial in King Charles I Park. RADOR, November 10
[04] Romanian Foreign Minister on a short visit to Chisiniov
Romanian Foreign Minister Adrian Severin made a short visit to the
Moldavian capital Chisiniov on Saturday. Upon his return to the country,
Mr. Severin mentioned some of the points of interest on the timetable of
the visit, such as cooperation opportunities in energy production and the
creation of a cultural centre in Chisiniov. By the end of the year, two
expert teams will have a first round of talks on the basic treaty between
the two countries. According to the minister, the document will have a
