[01] Albanians must show self-control and restraint- Nano meets Abdurraman Haliti -TIRANA, March 15 (ATA) - Albania's Prime Minister Fatos Nano and the chairman of the Party for Democratic Prosperity of Macedonia Albanians, Abdurram Haliti, in the meeting held Saturday declared that the Albanians must show self-control and restraint in front of the provocations, which aim at presenting them as extremist and terrorist, PM spokesman reported. Nano and Haliti also said that the peaceful protests of Albanians in Prishtine, Tirana, Skopje and the whole Europe have shown that the Albanians are a big and civil nation. "The statement of the Contact Group is a starting point towards the final solution of the Kosova issue in order to come out of the statu quo and not to allow the repetition of mistakes made in Bosnia," said Nano. They both supported the correct stand and the support that the Macedonian government has given to the international initiatives and mainly to the Contact group for the solution of the crisis in Kosova. "We want the mandate of the UNPREDEP in Macedonia be extended and we will ask this also to the U.S. Security Council," stated Nano. Nano and Haliti stressed the necessity of supporting the leader of the Kosova Albanians, Ibrahim Rugova and the peaceful manifestations of students in Prishtina. They underlined the necessity of consultations and coordination of initiatives and common messages to the favour of the Kosova matter and its solution through peaceful means, which would eliminate the loss of many people's lives. /a.ke/mima/mt/ Albanian Telegraphic Agency[02] Grave situation in Broje - some 110 women and kids are isolatedPRISHTINE, March 15 - ATA correspondent in Prishtina Bujar Jashari reports:The situation is very grave in the village of Broje, Drenice, some 110 women and children are still kept isolated by the Serbian forces and are barbarously maltreated, the chairman of the Kosova Democratic League, branch of Broje, Bahtir Kastrati, told "Bujku" newspaper in Prishtine. According to Kastrati, the Serbian forces in this village have wounded seven Albanians and have entered the empty houses of Albanians, using them as barricades. Three houses of Albanians were mined by the Serbian forces, which have also destroyed the school and the ambulance of the village. The inhabitants of Broje lack food articles, medicaments and clothes.
