    VOICED AT:

INTRO: RUSSIAN PEACEKEEPERS ARE ON THEIR WAY TO KOSOVO BY PLANE AFTER NATO AND RUSSIAN OFFICIALS WORKED OUT DETAILS OF MOSCOW'S PARTICIPATION IN NATO'S PEACEKEEPING FORCE IN KOSOVO. V-O-A'S ANDRE DE NESNERA REPORTS FROM THE RUSSIAN CAPITAL.

TEXT: THE ILYUSHIN-76 CARGO PLANE LEFT FOR KOSOVO'S PRISTINA AIRPORT FROM PSKOV - A MILITARY AIRBASE NORTH WEST OF MOSCOW.

THE INTERFAX NEWS AGENCY SAYS THREE MORE PLANES FROM OTHER RUSSIAN BASES WILL FLY TO KOSOVO TUESDAY. THEY WILL BE CARRYING A TOTAL OF 200 PARATROOPERS, ABOUT 20 TONS OF CARGO AND VARIOUS MILITARY EQUIPMENT.

THE DISPATCH OF RUSSIAN SOLDIERS TO KOSOVO BY AIR COMES A DAY AFTER NATO AND RUSSIAN OFFICIALS IRONED OUT DIFFERENCES OVER MOSCOW'S EXACT ROLE IN KOSOVO. NEITHER SIDE PROVIDED DETAILS, SAYING ONLY THE DISPUTE WAS OVER 'TECHNICAL' ISSUES. ON SUNDAY, RUSSIA WAS FORCED TO POSTPOSE TWO FLIGHTS TO PRISTINA AFTER HUNGARY, ROMANIA AND BULGARIA CLOSED THEIR AIR SPACE TO RUSSIAN PLANES. BUT NOW THAT NATO AND MOSCOW HAVE RESOLVED THEIR DISPUTE, RUSSIAN OFFICIALS SAY THE DISPATCH OF SOLDIERS TO KOSOVO CAN BEGIN IN EARNEST. (SIGNED)
