INTRO: A PLANE CARRYING THE BODIES OF THREE U-S DIPLOMATS KILLED
IN BOSNIA LAST WEEK IS ON ITS WAY BACK TO THE UNITED STATES.
V-O-A'S KYLE KING REPORTS SURVIVING MEMBERS OF THE U-S DELEGATION
TO BOSNIA ARE ACCOMPANYING THE BODIES, WHICH WERE FLOWN TO
GERMANY FROM THE CROATIAN PORT OF SPLIT.

AMERICANS ON BOARD THE U-S AIR FORCE C-141 FOR THE DAY-LONG
FLIGHT BACK TO THE UNITED STATES.
U-S ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE RICHARD HOLBROOKE AND HIS
MILITARY ADVISOR, GENERAL WESLEY CLARK, ARE ACCOMPANYING THE
BODIES HOME. IN BRIEF REMARKS TO REPORTERS IN GERMANY, MR.
HOLBROOKE SAID THE DELEGATION HAD GONE TO BOSNIA AS A TEAM AND
WOULD BE RETURNING HOME AS ONE.
ANALYSTS SAY THE DEATHS OF THE THREE AMERICANS WILL PROBABLY SET
BACK U-S EFFORTS TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THE CONFLICT IN THE FORMER
YUGOSLAVIA.
ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE HOLBROOKE SAYS A NEW U-S DIPLOMATIC
TEAM WILL BE RETURNING TO THE REGION LATER IN THE MONTH, TO
RESUME TALKS THAT HAD TO BE POSTPONED FOLLOWING THE ACCIDENT THAT
COST THE LIVES OF THE THREE AMERICANS AND ONE FRENCH PEACEKEEPER.
