NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BIJELJINA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic confirmed in the resort Banja Dvorovi near Bjeljina that soon will be overcome the problems of informational system through installing the satellite for transmitting the radio-TV programme in eastern part of RS. At the tribune organised by the Municipal Board of the Serbian National Alliance /SNS/ Plavsic accentuated that the full and timely informing of citizens is one of the basic conditions for holding coming parliamentary elections scheduled for November 23.

BIJELJINA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic assessed after the tonight's talks with the leader of the Democratic Party /DS/ Zoran Djindjic in Bijejina that "the process of democratisation in the regions where live Serbian people, could still be inhibited, but not stopped". "Our views points are very close, because in its basis is the common programme objective, most generally said, democratisation in RS and Serbia" - assessed president Plavsic. The leader of DS stated for the agency "Beta" that he supports the conception of president Plavsic, "as the combination of care for national interest and state responsibility".

SARAJEVO - The president from RS in the Presidency of B&H Momcilo Krajisnik reiterated in Pale to British Ambassador to Sarajevo Charles Crawford the stance of the state leadership that by taking over the transmitters from Serbian radio-TV /SRT/ was usurped the right of private property of SRT, which is in this case the exponent of the state policy".

BRCKO - The director of the Main Office of the Serbian Democratic Party Vlado Vrkes warned in Brcko that only unique people can keep the unitary RS and called citizens to give their vote on the parliamentary elections on November 23 to the Serbian patriotic parties -SDS and Serbian Radical Party /SRS/. Vrkes stressed that "forced parliamentary elections in RS are the part of the scenario of international community for destroying Serbian state from within, but SDS will come out on it in order to keep the national unity, territory and defend Serbian national interest guaranteed by the Dayton agreement".

SRBINJE - The representatives of RS Government and local radio and TV stations of Serbian Hercegovina stressed in Srbinje the importance of the work of these media in the conditions of blockade of SRT. At the meeting attended by the vice-president of RS Government Velibor Ostojic and minister for Information Svetlana Siljegovic is stressed the need of professional work of these media, in order to overcome the current situation and enabled communication of the state with people.

PODGORICA - The Constitutional court of Montenegro /CG/ rejected the complaint of former president Momir Bulatovic and his Democratic Party of socialists /DPS/ on the solution of the Republican electoral commission /REC/ by which Milo Djukanovic was proclaimed for the winner on the presidential elections on October 19 and became a new Montenegrian president.

SARAJEVO - The members of the Presidency of B&H should be imprisoned in the National Museum and given the package which contains the solutions of the law on citizenship, joint flag, currency and licence plates, and not allow them to come out until they find the final solution - stated the deputy High Representative for civil affairs in B&H Jacques Klein. As reports the Croatian radio Herceg-Bosna, Klein stressed that Croatian president Franjo Tudjman supports the stay of Croats in B&H.
