NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BRATUNAC - The assistant of commander of SFOR unit settled in the region of Bratunac major Chuck Nol confirmed that SFOR will help in maintenance of the parliamentary elections in Republika Srpska /RS/, while, as he said, "the leading role will have OSCE".

BELGRADE - The spokesman of Yugoslavian left /JUL/ Tatjana Lenard stated at the press conference in Belgrade that all consultations about the composition of new government will conduct in the framework of left coalition, and not with the parties out of that union.

DECANI - The Albanian terrorists from the machine guns and bazookas performed the attack on the refugee settlement Babaloc in the region of municipality Decani.

PRISTINA - The members of the special unit of Ministry of Internal affairs /MUP/ in Pristina discovered another channel through which the drugs from Albania is delivered into Pristina.

NOVI SAD - The economists and Executive Board of Vojvodina with the pleasure will help in the programme of general renewal and reconstruction of Serbian monastery Hilandar on the Holy Mountain.

BELGRADE - The president of U.S. Committee for protection of journalists Katty Marton stated that this organisation do not approve the military intervention against media, but SFOR had to occupy four transmitters of Serbian Radio-TV /SRT/, because this information house, as he thinks, televised the messages of hatred and fear. At the press conference in Belgrade Marton assessed that the programming of the studio Serbian Sarajevo "instigates the hatred and directly influences the preventing of implementation of Dayton Agreement". Mrs. Marton received the president of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ Slobodan Milosevic, and they talked about the Dayton Agreement, which, as she stressed, milosevic supports absolutely".

ROME - The Ambassadors of Contact group for B&H agreed in Rome that the code of conduct would be brought for all media in Republika Srpska /RS/ and Federation B&H /FB&H/, by which would be secured the respecting "of normal standards of European democracy", report agencies. In the announcement from the meeting of Contact group, which followed after the continuation of broadcasting of programming of SRT studio Serbian Sarajevo, again was required the change of Steering Board of this house.

BELGRADE - The special envoy of the UN Secretary General in Sarajevo Kai Eide confirmed in Belgrade that the programme of reorganising the police forces in RS, conducted by IPTF, will not be realised without financial assistance and cooperation with SFOR. "It must be clear that our ability to find financial resources from donors depends on cooperation of authorities in RS. To be completely clear, where there is cooperation, that would be foment for finding resources", he stressed.

BELGRADE - Yugoslavia will continue to provide the support to realisation of Dayton Agreement, with the aim to strengthen the lasting peace, along with consistent fulfilment of the role of international factors - it is concluded at the meeting of the president of FR^Y Slobodan Milosevic and special UN Secretary General envoy Kai Eide.
