BELGRADE - The secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission (REC), Nebojsa Rodic, stated that about 24% of the registered voters voted at the elections in Serbia by 13:00 p.m. According to the REC's data received while contacting with 29 polling stations, the elections are unfolding in a fair and democratic atmosphere, stated Rodic at a press conference held at the Serbian Parliament building.

PRISTINA - A quite good turnout was noted at three polling stations for voting at the presidential and parliamentary elections on Kossovo and Metohia. Mainly Serbs, Montenegrins, Gypsies and Muslims casted their ballots, while the turnout of Albanians was a symbolic one. An especially good turnout was noted at the balloting places in the municipalities of Pec, Leposavic, Dragas, Kosovo Polje, Obilic and Strpce, while some 60% of the registered voters casted their ballots at Zubni Potok by noon.

BELGRADE - The Democratic Party (DS) announced in Belgrade that it has data on that only 40,4% of the voters came out at the presidential and parliamentary elections in Serbia. As the Serbian Press Agency - SRNA learns from the Informative Service of this party's, this percentage does not include the area of Kosmet where, according to the same source, the turnout was some 14,67% of the voters. According to the DS's data, about 37, 14% of the electorate voted in Belgrade by 18:00 p.m.

PODGORICA - The citizens of Montenegro want to live in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) and they are going to prove this at the elections scheduled for October 5, stated the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Momir Bulatovic, at a gathering in Barutana, near Podgorica. While pointing out that a united state of Serbia and Montenegro is one of the main goals of his party, Bulatovic said that he expects the people of Montenego will express their loyalty to the FRY at the upcoming elections.
