BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic, underlined, after her meeting with the Swedish minister for international relations, Pierre Shory, that peace is in the interest of all and includes the compliance with the Dayton agreement and Sintra Conference conclusions. After the meeting in Banjaluka, President Plavsic said she was hopeful that the Swedish Government would find advantage of investing into the country and facilitating development of the RS economy. Shori said that the RS was completely committed to the implementation of the Dayton agreement and Sintra conclusions, and mentioned strong relations between Sweden and RS and the region in whole.

BANJALUKA - The RS president Biljana Plavsic is concerned over delays in the implementation of the Dayton agreement provisions which are not in the competence of the RS. She said that RS must find its role at the Donors Conference in order to get its share of assistance. During the talks with the special representative for the implementation of the Dayton agreement, William Montgomery, she warned that the RS would be directly affected unless an agreement was reached on Central Bank and Tariff Law on the B-H level. Montgomery indicated that the international donors reiterated their support for the implementation of the peace accords and promised a balanced approach to all parties in B-H.

SARAJEVO - The president of the RS National Assembly, Dragan Kalinic, received in Pale the head of International Commission for Missing Persons, Erwin Bohi, and the president of the ICRC Working Group for Missing Persons, Margaret Konte. This was a preparatory meeting for June 20 Belgrade session of the International Commission for Missing Persons - established by the US president Bill Clinton - on the issues of imprisoned and missing persons in the former Yugoslavia and the determination of proceedings for the exhumation process in RS and the B-H Federation.

"We decided to halt the whole process, to replace those directly involved in the voters registration, and to clear out the rules of the game", stated Frowick after the meeting of the Provisional Electoral Commission, held in Sarajevo.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Serbian Patriotic Party (SPAS) for RS, Slavko Zupljanin, assessed as unacceptable the decision of OSCE to shut down registration centres. "It is about the OSCE's recognisable policy of an accomplished act. The aim is to humiliate and aggrieve the Serbs there, expelled from the central Bosnia", explained Zupljanin at a press conference in Banjaluka.

BANJALUKA - The OSCE decision to close all centres can have a multiple negative consequence not only for the municipal elections in RS and B-H Federation but even broader, announced the Socialist Party of RS. They Party said that the decision limits the creation of optimal conditions for further democratisation and improvement of confidence between RS institutions and international community, for it is well known that the "issue of Brcko is the issue above all issues for RS".

SARAJEVO - OSCE officially reaffirmed that the voters registration in RS and Federation of B-H would be extended to June 28. OSCE announced that out of total 3,2 million eligible voters in RS and Federation, only 1,700.000 registered themselves.
