SARAJEVO - The president of the Republika Srpska (RS) National Assembly, Momcilo Krajisnik, talked in Pale with the political advisor of Bundestag, Mr. Eshinger, about the implemen tation of the Dayton agreement and German participation in find ing solution to the crisis in RS and the CroatMuslim Federation. President Krajisnik said, after the meeting, that he exchanged views with Mr. Eshinger on various issues, mainly those concern ing the implementation the Dayton agreement, of which the Germans are very interested because their country has taken an active role in the process of finding a political solution for this region.

SARAJEVO - The RS member of the Provisional Electoral Com mission, Slobodan Kovac, stated for SRNA that the Commission de fined the remaining set of the electoral rules relating to a way of recounting ballots and determining of results of the general elections scheduled for September 14, 1996. Kovac specified that each municipal electoral centre will recount the votes and present the results to the six regional OSCE centres, following which the results will be submitted to the OSCE Centre in Saraje vo where the official electoral results will be announced.

BIJELJINA - In talks with the chief of the OSCE regional centre for the eastern part of RS, Benjamin Karakonstantinopulo, the Bijeljina mayor Dragomir Ljubojevic, expressed his fear from possible undesirable events during the arrival of voters from the MuslimCroat Federation to Serb municipalities. He demanded that Karakonstantinopulo to state the exact number of voters from the Federation to vote in RS and to provide special polling places for them in order to evade possible incidents.

BEOGRAD - The spokesman of the Democratic Party, Slobodan Vuksanovic, stated "the elections should strengthen the RS, that is why their significance is great". "The good thing is that there is no reason for exerting of pressure upon the Serbs, because they are compliant to the Dayton agreement". The main problem rests with the relations of the Croats and Muslims", stated Vuksanovic.

SARAJEVO - The former Muslim prime minister Haris Silajdzic intends to boycott September elections in RS and the CoratMuslim Federation, announced US officials late last night, accompanying the US secretary of state Warren Christopher, reports AFP. Ac cording to Christopher, Silajdzic considers that "the elections will legitimise the ethnical division of the country".

BEOGRAD - The president of once the Republic of Western Bosnia and leader of the Democratic People's Community, Fikret Abdic, assessed that "Days of Izetbegovic's rude policy are numbered. The ways of Izetbegovic's policy and that of the Party of Democratic Action is to kill, liquidate and bribe, but despite all this, they are slowly losing their power", stated Abdic in an interview for tomorrow's edition of the Belgrade's weekly "Vreme".

PARIS - The US secretary of state Warren Christopher reached satisfactory results at the Geneva meeting, regarding the holding of September elections and on the field of removal of obstacles for the establishing of the CroatMuslim Federation, writes the Paris paper Le Mond. The paper's Geneva correspondent reminds his readers that Christopher managed to reconcile the views of Croa tian present Franjo Tudjman and the Muslim leader Alija Izetbe govic on the issue of existence of the Croatian Republic of HerzegBosnia, and the embodying of the same into the Federation.

BEOGRAD - His Holiness Patriarch of the Serbs, Pavle, will serve the holy liturgy on transfiguration, on August 19, in the St. Peter and Paul Church in Belgrade, where a requiem will be held for the Serbs killed in war in the former Yugoslavia.

BANJALUKA - The Working Groups for Missing Persons i RS and the CroatMuslim Federation, appealed all parties to try to respond to requests of 14,338 families, which do not know any thing of the fate of their missing relatives. The Appeal was made during their meeting held at the High representative Carl Bildt's Office in Sarajevo.

SREBRENICA - The Srebrenica mayor, Stanko Rakic, confirmed that the remains of four Serb civilians were discovered in the Srebrenica community of Zalazje, killed on St. Peter Day 1992, during one of Muslim attacks at the village. The inspection of the terrain was continued in the village as well in the villages of Jadar, Brezani ad Podravanje, in which over 50 Serbs were killed during the war.

DOBOJ - NATO helicopter or plane fights over Derventa and Brod, result in the changes in the air, with consequences like difficult breathing, headache and a salty taste in mouth", says the District Staff of the Civilian Protection from Derventa and Brod.
