Thanks to this investment which involves the financial strength and the know-how of the partners, "Serbia Telecom" will quickly assimilate foreign technology and increase its efficiency. The most important aspect of foreign investment, such as the one that has been signed, lies in the fact that Serbia and Yugoslavia are making a major step forward in internationalizing the national economy and will quickly join the global development processes. "I would like to stress that the Serbian Government, together with the other bodies involved in the implementation of the economic policy," Mr. Marjanovic stressed "is strongly focused on the market reform and has consequently introduced a number of laws and system regulations allowing a comprehensive ownership transformation, incentivating foreign investments and creating a favorable environment for the evolution of entrepreneurship." It should also be stressed that complete currency and price stability has been achieved in the country, together with the growth of production and exports. These positive trends have been realized thanks to the strict monetary and fiscal policy, but even more due to Government efforts to ensure the necessary balance between economic and social stability on the one hand and dynamic industrial growth on the other. The funds raised with the contract, will be strictly used for the promotion of key reform objectives: faster growth of production and exports, development of new companies, further promotion of modern world-oriented market economy, creation of new jobs and the consequent increase of wages and living standard.
