What's New on HR-Net?
LAST UPDATE: 29 March 1996
- LINE UPGRADE
- As of 29 March 1996, the HR-Net Web server is connected to the
Internet via an new, fiberoptic line with a current capacity of 256 kbps.
Depending on demand, this capacity can be increased further on short
notice.
- NEWS SOURCES
- Several news sources have been added to the pool of over 30
active sources.
- WEB PAGES

- The home page of the American Hellenic Media Project, hosted at
the HR-Net server, has undergone major upgrades and can be viewed at
http://www.hri.org/ahmp
- The Union of Constantinopolitans has created its own home page
on this server:

- The Foundation for Hellenic Studies, operated under the auspices
of the American Hellenic Institute, has a new Home Page at the URL:

- Events such us the flare-up over the Imia Island were covered in
detail by HR-Net. All available information and related documents are
collected under one index where they are periodically updated.

- The United States State Department released several reports in
the past month. The HR-Net Group has converted and cross referenced

- The list of Internet nodes with material related to Greece,
Cyprus and the Balkans in general has grown very fast - current count is
over 1000 - and numerous subgroups have been created to allow faster
