experts in the field of conflict management and international relations,
and
- Identify opportunities for effective action and possible roles that
Greece could play in enhancing stability and prosperity in the Balkans.
The theme of this year's visit is Security and Cooperation in the
Balkans. During the week, the policy makers will attend lectures,
seminars and panel discussions pertaining to issues related to the
disintegration of Yugoslavia and the peace plan for
Bosnia, the role of Greece in the post-Communist Balkans, the role of
international and regional organizations in Balkan developments
(UN, EU, WEU, CSCE, Council of Europe, the Black Sea Initiative, etc.)
and economic cooperation and diplomacy in the Balkans, among others.
These events will take place at prestigious educational
institutions such as the Kennedy School of Government, The Fletcher School
of Law and Diplomacy, Harvard's Center for European Studies and various
private and public organizations throughout Boston.
The Hellenic Resources Institute is a non-profit organization, located in
Cambridge, MA whose goal is to create a link between Greek
public-policy makers and academicians, professionals and scientists
